How NOT to Run a Business
Staff is grossly under-educated regarding insurances - down to not knowing what an "advantage plan" is or whether (after showing them my Medicare card), you are on Medicaid or Medicare. They were insulting, ignorant, and very unprofessional. In the end, because they did not know whether my insurance would pay for a routine blood test nor did they care to find out--I just left. "We don't DO that", was the explanation I received. This is because they don't have any office personnel and check-in is done by a computer. Most labs would have been familiar with at least the major advantage plans in the area and if routine blood tests are covered (they are). I left after saying a few choice words to the idiot who supposedly had passed phlebotomist certification. After reading the reviews on Consumer Affairs (one star overall for 87 reviews in the last year), I'm glad I didn't. Can't tell you how irritated I was for THE REST OF THE DAY because of their ineptitude!!!
